I can't think of anything I would change

I enjoyed learning not just what to do, but why we do it. It helped me enormously to understand what was happening in an emergency situation and how the First Aid I learnt fits in. The repeated hands-on practice will (hopefully) give me the confidence to use my First Aid skills in a real life situation.

Participant, First Aid @Work

Thanks for the great CPR and First Aid course.

It’s not only what you’ve taught us, it’s the way you have done it, really human, pedagogical and entertaining. Let’s hope I’ve never have to use this vital knowledge but in case of having to do it, I’ll be ready!

Thank you

Thank you for the organisation and delivery of this first aid course. It is without doubt the most comprehensive and clear course I have ever taken part in. We all feel the day was incredibly useful and interesting.

Perfectly pitched to laymen such as I

I just wanted to congratulate you for doing such a fantastic job teaching us all some first aid basics. The course you ran was perfectly pitched to laymen such as I. You covered stuff I'd never have considered in the past, so if ever needed, I'll be much more prepared to put some of your training into practice.

THANK YOU for your great advice

A few months ago, my wife and I attended a first aid course that you ran for new parents. In that course you told a graphic story involving a young mother, a baby and a cup of coffee. On Monday morning, our 7 month old baby managed to grab my wife's boiling hot cup of coffee and was burned on both arms, legs and her tummy. My wife remembered your story and first aid lessons and ran to the bathroom and within seconds was sitting under a cold shower where she waited with the baby for 30 minutes until the ambulance arrived. When I met the ambulance at HUG emergency we were all expecting the worst but the ambulance drivers and doctors have told us that because of her quick thinking and first aid the burns are limited to only 1st degree and no long term harm done. Three days later our baby looks like she has sunburn but other than that is happy and normal and probably wondering why we are fussing over her even more than normal. So, THANK YOU for your great advice. My wife did exactly what you instructed to the letter and I am certain that it saved our baby from much more severe burns and all the heartache that this would have entailed for our family. Sex Education classes for students

The sex education classes provided by HealthFirst were much appreciated by our students, even those who claimed to 'know it all' already. Particularly successful was the opportunity offered to students to ask questions anonymously by means of the 'Question Box'.

Very informative and useful

The First Aid course given by Dr. Penny Fraser to the teaching and administrative staff members of the British School of Geneva was not only very informative and useful, but also was done in an interactive manner that kept the audience's interest alive. Dr. Fraser was very professional in giving a very comprehensive workshop dealing with first aid emergencies involving both children and adults and was able to answer all our questions. I would definitely recommend this for any school.

Mother of two boys

Course stopped me from panicking.....

Thank you again for the superb classes you gave me & others, you have such a natural talent at this. I even had a chance to apply the skills when my little boy split his chin, very helpful. I would have totally panicked without your help…

Jo

Thank you

Thank you for a very informative and useful evening on Tuesday. I really admire your enthusiasm and energy and you made the content very accessible.

First Aid for Sports Coaches

My challenge was to organise a First Aid course in English for 12 people in the La Cote region that covered the ICC Europe requirements for the ECB Level 1 and 2 Cricket Coaching Certification courses. My wife recommended HealthFirst without hesitation, having attended a First Aid course related to her Girl Scout leader training. I contacted HealthFirst initially through the Contact Us link on their website. Within a few hours I received my first reply, and a few conversations and emails later we had agreed the content of a customized course and had confirmed the dates for the 2 evening sessions of 4 hours each. I must admit to being a little apprehensive about how the 12 participants, including myself, would handle an 8 hour working day followed by 2 intensive 4 hour First Aid course sessions ending at 10pm but I needn't have worried. Dr. Michelle Wright and Dr. Penny Fraser presented the intensive "Basic Life Support and Automated External Defibrillation" course with our customised "First Aid for Cricket Coaches" content clearly and comprehensively with enthusiasm and lots of practical exercises that kept all 12 participants engaged and involved, and wondering where the 4 hours each night went so quickly. We all emerged able to use our new found CPR skills, with and without an AED, and our Cricket-related injury First Aid knowledge with a confidence I couldn't have imagined possible before we started. After completing the course I can assure the Gingins Cricket Club parents that their children will be in very safe hands during Training sessions and at matches. Once the course was over it left me wondering why I hadn't followed such a course many years ago, and I will certainly be encouraging my children to attend such a course as soon as they are old enough. An invaluable experience to learn priceless life saving skills. Thank you Michelle and Penny.

Lots of practical information

I attended HealthFirst's Paediatric CPR course in February 2010, when I was 7 months pregnant. It was a very informative and surprisingly fun few hours, with lots of practical information and plenty of time to practice (on dummies, I hasten to add!) Thankfully I haven't yet had to put theory into practice for real (and fingers crossed I'll never have to) but I definitely left feeling confident in my CPR abilities should the need ever arise. The manuals given out during the course are very clear and a great way to keep the mind fresh.

Great Course

I attended the CPR for children course run by Dr Michelle Wright in 2010. Her professional approach and the simple, easy-to-understand structure of the course itself, created a superb environment in which to deal with the fears and realities associated with the possibility of such a traumatic event. The course contains a lot of practical work which definitely helps to instill the key take-aways with ease. I left the course feeling more prepared to manage this kind of difficult and scary situation. Thanks Michelle.

Martina Keller

Thank you for the great course

Very straight-forward and clear information. I now feel confident that I could help in an emergency situation. Thank you, it was a great course.

Head Teacher

Very informative

A very informative and practical course. Clear explanations and answers to questions raised.

Marie-Hélène

Thank you!

Three days after attending your course, I had to put the theory into practice. My 5 year old son had an anaphylactic reaction. The fact that I had just attended your course surely greatly contributed to avoiding the worst. Our reaction was very fast and efficient and our son is in very good shape again. Thank you.
