Prompt First Aid is important

Accidents are the number one cause of illness and death in children aged 1-18. Most children spend up to 60% of their weekday waking hours at school so a significant proportion of these accidents happen there. Medical emergencies including severe allergic reactions and seizures can also happen during the school day. Good, prompt First Aid delivered by a calm, trained person can significantly reduce the impact of an injury or illness, and even save a life.

HealthFirst provides first aid training in English and/or French for staff members on your school premises. Our experienced team of healthcare professionals will coordinate with your schedules and can deliver courses on staff training days, during the school day, after school or at weekends.

First Aid for School Staff Members

This is our gold-standard training and comprises two three-and-a-half hour modules: the first focuses on medical emergency situations and the second on other important first aid scenarios that may arise during the school day. We recommend both modules are undertaken to ensure a comprehensive training.

Swiss Resuscitation Council BLS-AED-SRC Generic Provider

This is the certified four-hour Swiss Resuscitation Council BLS-AED-SRC Generic Provider training in Basic Life Support and Automated External Defibrillation. It provides participants with knowledge and competencies to help babies, children or adults in cardiac arrest and other medical emergency situations. It is ideal for staff who need certified training in Basic Life Support.
